Wholesale Support: Planning Your Growing Program

At Fall Creek, we have several product options for our nursery customers who want to grow their own material. The easiest approach to determining which product is best suited to you is to simply decide what size you want for your finished product. Then consider how quickly you want to turn your finished product.

Our easy-to-follow Fall Creek Growing Program outlined below will give you valuable insight on each of our products.  We highlight the most typical growing programs for each size and recommend what sizes are most typically grown from that starter size. We also recommend when to transplant and how long it generally takes to get to the finished size.  There are certainly variations to these programs, but what we provide here are the most common models that we know bring highly successful and profitable results to our customers.

Liners

Fall Creek's premier one year liners are produced with our 'High Health' propagation. This provides a well-balanced, uniform transplant of consistent quality. Typically our liners are transplanted for quick turns into No. 1 and No. 2 containers.

38 Cell Liners

Our 38 cells are a relatively new and very popular product designed for quick success. This bigger format is perfect for shifting for a fast crop or right into larger containers for a same season finished grade. The deep root system plug is loaded with energy for a fast, full finish.

3 1/2 Inch Pot

We refer to our 3½" pot as a PPT Container. This size is great as is for a finished product for retail sales or it can be transplanted as shifting stock. Most often growers will pot this up into No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3 containers. These PPTs are well-branched, vigorous plants.

Liter Pots

Our Liter Pots are also excellent as is for finished retail sales.  With our Liter Pots you get a slightly fuller plant and taller plant than with a 3½" which often means you can turn a finished product a bit faster.

No. 1 Container

Our one gallon plants are beauties!  These top quality, tall, strong plants are ready for retail sales or for quick turns into full No. 2, No. 3 or No. 5 pots.

Remember that we also have finished three and six gallon plant sizes ready for immediate retail sales. They are exceptionally well-branched, 3+ year plants that often provide abundant fruit the first year in the garden.

We also have our Fall Creek Advantage Cell Grown Transplants, our innovative product that replaces traditional bareroot plants.
