There is increasing medical research being done on the health benefits of blueberries and many studies are moving into clinical trials with humans directly. This recent study, led by Robert Krikorian, Ph.D. at the University of Cincinnati, offers promising evidence that eating blueberries can possibly have a positive effect on Alzheimer’s and other cognitive impairments.
Blueberries pack a powerful punch of anthocyanins which seem to potentially be a secret weapon in the war to prevent and/or possibly lessen the effects of a variety of health issues including those affecting memory, cancer, heart health, metabolic disorders such as diabetes and more.
There is much more research and findings ahead, so watch for further health research updates.
