People of Fall Creek - Tito

For more than 35 years, Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc. has cultivated exceptional blueberry plants for customers all over the globe with the primary goal of providing the very best in plants and support to our customers.  

At Fall Creek, we propagate, grow, sell, and ship millions of plants every single year. What makes this possible are our amazing team members. Our employees care deeply and are constantly pushing to improve and maintain a high level of quality and efficiency that makes the Fall Creek difference. The unfortunate part is our customers and constituents don’t have the opportunity to meet these talented individuals so we decided to introduce each of them over a series of blog posts titled People of Fall Creek.

The first person we’d like you to meet is Eligio Montes Cruz or as most of us know him, Tito.

Tito began his career with Fall Creek just over two years ago as a nursery worker and was promoted to a leadership position after a short period of time.  He is currently located at our Pleasant Hill Farm where he oversees production (shipping, grading, sheering, potting), maintenance, and keeping the crew busy and organized.

“Since I came in and learned about growing blueberries, I’ve been impressed with how much care and attention to detail Fall Creek staff puts into the plants. I feel that every little thing we do here as part of our job is going to have a huge impact over time, and reach many people. I like that kind of job,” Tito said.

Tito is also a celebrity in our community as he is a radio DJ for local station KRVM on a segment called Rock en El Centro. On Thursdays at 9pm, Tito plays Spanish rock and all Latin-Alternative related sounds based on what is current. Listeners can also learn about concert dates of the bands that are played, the latest topics of interest, local events, and the Ducks-Beavers rivalry as we enter the football season! Tune in to Rock en El Centro on Thursdays 9pm on 91.9 FM.

When he’s not maintaining our Pleasant Hill location or playing Spanish rock hits on Rock en El Centro, Tito is spending time with his family, playing soccer, or reading about technology and news.
