New Area Manager for South Africa

Fall Creek® is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara Botes as new Area Manager for Southern Africa. With deep knowledge of the local fruit industry and a proven track record in business management, she is set to strengthen Fall Creek®’s position as a leading provider of blueberry plants and grower support in Southern Africa.

In this new role, Barbara will be leading Fall Creek®’s Sales and Grower Support team in serving current growers, unlocking new regions, and growing the grower base. She will report to Michel Kaczmarek, Fall Creek®’s Commercial Manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Barbara will oversee all sales in Southern Africa, working closely with Michel to ensure the regional commercial strategy aligns with the global strategy.

With a degree in Agriculture, she has spent the past 17 years gaining invaluable experience in the full production cycle — from farming to delivering products —including technical evaluation and quality control of various fruits. Before joining Fall Creek®, Barbara served as the Business Manager at Citrus Genesis, a leading citrus cultivar management company. With a passion for sustainability, she strives to work towards a greener future.

Beyond her professional achievements, Barbara is also a devoted mother of two. She shares, “I’m truly honoured to join the Fall Creek® team and excited to work with our growers to achieve our shared goals.”
